In the process of filling in missing information, I found two new caucus elections to fill legislative vacancies that I had previously missed, including the election of Roy Rogers, Jr. (who served for less than a year, and is now included in the database).

October 9, 2019: Identified a bug in the coding of the Length of Tenure Records page that wasn’t counting full service for some politicians. That has been cleaned up and retested, and should display accurate results now.

September 28, 2019: Counties were assigned to every historical congressional district in the database. To utilize this data (and the existing county data for state legislative districts), added a new Offices by County page that shows chronological listings of U.S. House, State Senate and State Representative office holders by county. This page also shows all elected officials representing a county in a chosen year. Made conforming changes to other pages to link to this new page.

Added ‘Party’ as a filter on the Minorities & Women in Office page.

August 22, 2019: Added ‘Gender’ as a filter on the Length of Tenure Records page

August 19, 2019: New version of the website was launched, with all tools rebuilt from scratch.
